Following 20 years as a designer for international fashion brands including Levi’s, Ted Baker, Avelon and Denham Jo returned to her alma mater, Manchester Met, where she leads the Fashion Design and Technology programmes at the Manchester Fashion Institute (MFI).

Jo initiated the MFI Fashion and Business Saturday Club with the British Fashion Council and the Sorrell Foundation, and is a founder of the Portrait Youth project exhibited at DM17. Jo sits on the education steering committee for the British Fashion Council and is a member of the Manchester Centre for Youth Studies.
