Ken Adam’s War Room in Stanley Kubrick’s Dr Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Bomb, is regarded by many as the best film set ever designed and by all accounts Ronald Reagan was deeply disappointed when informed on becoming president that it turned out not actually to exist in the bowels of the Pentagon. This showing of the movie in the year Ken Adam died is followed by a Q&A with Sir Christopher Frayling, one of Britain’s foremost experts in movie culture.
