From political reformists to palaeobotanists, the work of women has helped to shape Manchester into the great city it is today. Women in Print is an exhibition of work by sixteen local designers, print-makers and illustrators that celebrates the life and achievements of sixteen iconic female figures who’ve made a significant contribution to Manchester.
This new, extended exhibition showcases 6 new pieces alongside the original contributors all showcased inside the stylish Northern Quarter venue PLY.
Monday 17th October
The exhibition will run at PLY during the festival but also feature a special evening event to celebrate all the contributions and raise money for the associated charities involved in the project.
Joyce Lee will be hosting calligraphy demo that people can join in with and Nell Smith will host a lino-print demo so attendees can have a go at making their own Pankhurst print.
This event is free and open to all, starting at 6pm at PLY.
