Manchester Central Library by Gtosti
St Peter's Square,
Manchester M2 5PD

Designed by Vincent Harris, the iconic Manchester Central Library is a Grade II-listed building on St Peter’s Square adjacent to the Town Hall: a popular seat of public learning and knowledge appropriately located at the very pinnacle of the Manchester Corridor. The beautiful Great Hall on the first floor, a circular reading room that retains much of the architect’s original furniture, was renamed the Wolfson Reading Room following its refurbishment with a grant from the Wolfson Foundation – part of a wider refurbishment completed in 2014.
