Fiona founded Sundae Communications in 2011, a PR, events and social agency which is the first in the North to specialise in entertainment. Clients since launch include the Ambassador Theatre Group (launching Swansea Arena and Stockton Globe), Glastonbury’s Shangri-La, the BBC, We Invented the Weekend, Universal Pictures, Sounds from the Other City, BBC Sports Personality of the Year, Nickelodeon, Channel 4.
Fiona co-founded and pioneered the development of Design Manchester, the city’s creative festival which has delivered over 250 events for more than 350k people since launch in 2013.
In 2020, Fiona helped pioneer the launch of Lost Horizon, a virtual festival recreating some of the stages Shangri-La at Glastonbury, which reached an audience of 4.36 million people across two days, with 10,000 people experiencing the festival in virtual reality platform Sansar. Lost Horizon is now a stand alone company offering virtual and hybrid solutions to the live industry.
