Rick Banks is an award-winning graphic designer based in Manchester. Working under the moniker Face37, Rick specialises in branding.

Rick is also a font designer and has released fonts including F37 Bella, F37 Ginger and F37 Bolton. He sells these through his own foundry, F37.

He has worked on some of the world’s largest brands including EE, Triumph Motorcycles, AXA, Douwe Egberts, C&A and adidas.

Rick’s work has won numerous awards, including a yellow pencil from D&AD, a TDC from the Type Directors Club in Tokyo, being featured in the Creative Review Annual, as well as recognition from Creative Circle, Communication Arts, TDC (NY) and ISTD. His work has been published internationally in various journals, books and magazines. Rick’s design products have sold worldwide from the Tate Modern in London, to the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He has exhibited work in the Design Museum, the RCA in London and Ginza Graphic Gallery in Tokyo.

Rick takes an active role in the design community, lecturing on branding and typography around the world. He judged the Crafts for Design category for the 2017 D&AD awards.
