A Thousand Words is a dramatic exploration of how we present ourselves to the world. In a series of sumptuous and tantalising portraits Benji Reid captures both the vulnerability and strength of his subjects. Provocative and playful A Thousand Words is sure to capture your attention.

A key figure in the Manchester arts scene, Benji Reid has been a major contributor to the Black Physical Theatre canon over the last 30 years. During that time he has made the journey from Hip Hop theatre pioneer to visual theatre and photography. A Thousand Words is the first photography exhibition from this incredible and singular talent.

This exhibition takes place at The Contact Theatre as part of Black History Month and is supported by Arts Council England.

The exhibition runs from 22 September until 17 December 2016. Open daily from 10am until 11pm. Saturdays 3pm until late. Closed Sundays.
