Described by The Guardian as “one of the country’s finest pop culture historians”, Travis Elborough has been an author, broadcaster and cultural commentator for nearly two decades now. Elborough’s books include Wish You Were Here: England on Sea, a survey of the British beside the seaside and The Long-Player Goodbye (published in the US as The Vinyl Countdown), a hymn to vinyl records that inspired the BBC4 documentary When Albums Ruled the World, in which he also appeared.
The Atlas of Vanishing Places, a collaboration with the cartographer Martin Brown, has just been published by White Lion.
